Maggie’s the gal that introduced us to Maverick brittanys.   She is line-bred through Maverick’s Bud Dee, who goes back to Whetstone's Copper Duke and Ban-Dee .  As a result of her performance in the field and the companionship qualities she’s exhibited, she’s also the one who inspired us to lend ourselves to the perpetuation of the bloodline.  Maggie was sight-pointing when we obtained her at 7 weeks, and that fall at age 7 months she was scent pointing staunchly and holding wild pheasants.  She retrieves naturally, likes the water, and absolutely loves to hunt.  She stands 20 ½” tall at the withers and weighs 40 lbs., with a relatively short white and orange coat. Shamelessly pampered at home, Maggie is a real "people dog".  She starts each evening on her pillow, but by morning has usually stolen a spot on the foot of her owner’s bed.
